Responsibilities:
Complete seasonal assortment at style level by store
Selects products to support pre-determined brand initiatives
Determines season length for each style/color to help guide and minimize markdown liabilities.
Seasonally sets and communicates product priorities and strategic direction to the stores
Determines monthly products to be marked down with input from allocator and completes markdown estimate form.
Requirements:
Bachelor / College degree;
5 years merchant buying office experience for a multi-store retailer including min of 2 years buying, planning or allocating experience;
Two additional years of experience is generally accepted in lieu of a Degree level education;
Strong retail math skills including the intricacies of open to buy and gross margin. Skilled in retail financial planning & assortment planning;
Working knowledge of Excel and Word including creating spreadsheets, formulas, etc.
